Human life is the unique composition of both spirit and matter. Life cannot be just the spirit, or we would not need water, food, or sleep. That piece of us is controlled by matter. The dependence on other things to survive. Life also cannot be just matter either. Without spirit, we have no joy, compassion, beauty, discomfort, sorrow, or love. We need both matter and spirit to be a human.
The spirit expresses emotions and knowledge. The overall capacity to understand mind and matter and the vital role they both play in life. The spirit experiences life through human matter. The goal of the spiritual path is to be part of the spiritual dimension of life and live life to the fullest through all the emotions and knowledge the spirit represents.
Everyone strives for comfort and happiness. Most believe that comfort is only achieved through matter alone. This is not true. Comfort is a value of consciousness. It can depend on matter, but it mostly depends on understanding and attitude. Spirituality allows one to truly be comfortable with more than just the physical world.
Your spirit takes in knowledge throughout your life through experiences by listening, understanding, and absorbing the world around you. Knowledge does not come from the five senses alone. It also comes from the inside. Our intuition plays an important role in comprehension of the outside world. Spiritual people are more in tune with their intuition.
Knowledge is present at every level of consciousness. Consciousness is present throughout all knowledge. You cannot have one without the other. They are both powerful and infinite. Get in tune with all levels of your consciousness to truly gain maximum levels of knowledge.
Peace and Love
We are all peace, truth, and energy. Moving, walking, sitting, and talking. This energy of self is knowledge of the knowing and knower. Consciousness is also love, which makes you love. Understanding these key roles of the consciousness is part of the spiritual life. The richest forms of life are provided through the spiritual dimension. Without spirituality, life is shallow, dependent, and miserable.
There is a sense of responsibility, compassion, caring, and belongingness for all humanity. Through spirituality the walls are broken, and boundaries are erased of religion, faith, nationality, and social class. Wars will cease through the spiritual understanding. Peace is attainable through the eyes of the spirit.
Living a spiritual life is not free of difficult times. A spiritual life is not an escape from hard work and vulnerability. Spirituality requires a person to give a hundred percent of themselves. It involves hard work and responsibility. Hard work deserves appreciation, not compassion. If you seek compassion for your hard work, you are seeking the wrong truth. Responsibility is also part of taking the spiritual path. Living a spiritual life means being responsible for others. A spiritual life can provide you contentment, peace, energy, and lots of joy, but not an escape.
Silence can heal and rejuvenate. Silence can bring you creativity and give you depth and stability. It creates a sense of belonging to the world and those around you. The deeper the silence you are able to achieve, the more beautiful life around you become.
